Meet Jeana
“For the past 43 years I’ve proudly called the 2nd District my home. Currently residing in Hydesville with my husband and two boys, Humboldt County has always held a special place in my heart. Having been raised in a rural part of our district, I experienced the unique value of growing up in a small, tight-knit community surrounded by open land, lush greenery, and pristine rivers.”
Raising my family here, I am deeply committed to preserving the essence of this remarkable place. I believe in ensuring the same opportunities and high quality of life for the generations that follow. As a resident deeply rooted in this community, I am dedicated to championing initiatives that uphold our region’s natural beauty, promote sustainable growth, and safeguard the unique lifestyle we cherish in Humboldt.”
Jeana's Background
My values, work history, education, experience and community service has prepared me to be an effective and hard-working 2nd District Supervisor.
After attending local schools and completing training at College of the Redwoods Law Enforcement Academy, attending then Humboldt State University and U.C. Davis, I returned to the Eel River Valley to live, work, raise a family and commit to making our area a better place to live.
I have been a successful small business owner for 23 years and know the trials, tribulations, risks and rewards of putting in all on the line to be a contributing member of our economy and community. I fervently advocate for the growth and success of local small businesses.
We all want to live in a vibrant and healthy community. That, in part, is achieved through volunteerism. I believe that passionately. The past 17 years I have served on two school boards; currently the Vice-President of the Fortuna Union High School Board of Trustees. I work tirelessly to champion students’ well-being, safety and education. I have served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Fortuna, board member for the Fortuna Business Improvement District, board member Fortuna Chamber of Commerce and Eel Valley Little League. I am currently an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Walker Bailey Unit 205 and a dedicated Rotarian in Fortuna Rotary.
I will bring this same energy and passion to the 2nd District
